Indanthren yarns designed to withstand sun, chlorine, and salt.

Nautical fabrics on board face the most extreme environmental conditions. Our sponges are made with a double twisted structure and special technological finishes that protect the fibers from the corrosive action of salt and UV radiation. Thanks to the Indanthren dye, the colors remain bright and unchanged over time, while the reinforced perimeter seams prevent fraying and structural deformations season after season.

Absolute biocompatibility and skin protection, even in the open sea.

All of our textile production complies with the rigorous international OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which certifies the complete absence of toxic substances, heavy metals, or harmful chemical residues in the yarns. When exposed to the sun, heat, and salt, the skin is naturally more exposed, vulnerable, and permeable: our terry cloth guarantees complete skin compatibility, offering guests exceptional comfort with the utmost assurance of health safety.

Do the sponges and towels left out on the outdoor decks tend to stiffen or fade due to the sun and salt air?

No, because we use only long-staple cotton treated with Indanthren dye. This process locks the color deep within the fiber, making the fabrics resistant to UV rays, sea salt, and chlorine from pool water. Furthermore, the unique looped structure keeps the terry cloth soft, flexible, and pleasant against the skin even after repeated exposure to the blazing sun and salty sea breeze, preventing the typical “stiff” feel of ordinary terry cloth.

How is customization handled when it comes to the yacht's name or the owner's family crest?

We offer two different technologies depending on the project. For maximum exclusivity, we can weave the name or logo directly into the terry cloth using a Jacquard loom: the brand thus becomes an integral part of the fabric, permanently embedded and visible on both sides. Alternatively, for total flexibility even with small batches, we create ultra-high-definition industrial embroidery with millimeter-precise placement, using special nautical yarns that do not fray or lose their luster with washing.

Why is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification considered a fundamental requirement for luxury charters?

On board, guests spend hours in direct contact with beach towels and bathrobes under the sun—conditions in which sweat and heat open the pores, making the skin extremely permeable. Our international certification guarantees the complete absence of toxic substances, heavy metals, or allergenic chemical fixatives in the fabrics. Offering a 100%-certified biologically safe terry cloth is a prerequisite for safety and care that raises the yacht’s hospitality standards and protects the health of even the most discerning guests.

How do your fabrics hold up against the typical stains encountered on board, such as sunscreen or tanning oil?

Our fabrics undergo special protective finishes during the weaving process that limit the deep penetration of oils and chemical filters typically found in sunscreen lotions. Thanks to the stability of the Indanthren dye, the crew can use professional degreasing detergents and specific onboard industrial washing programs to completely remove yellowish or oily stains, without the risk of altering the terry cloth’s base color or weakening the embroidery’s hold.

Can the Crew Line be customized with job titles or a color-coding system to facilitate internal laundry management?

Absolutely. To make it easier for flight attendants to manage laundry and uniform rotations, we offer the option to differentiate supplies using color codes (for example, different shades for the Deck and Engine sections) or by adding high-definition identifying embroidery (such as “Crew,” “Captain,” or the yacht’s logo in a custom color scheme). This system prevents garments from getting mixed up among the cabins, maintains a strict organizational standard on board, and extends the useful life of all linens.
